Here it is! A snapshot of the best bands currently circulating Central Australia. These artists form the unique musical vibe emanating from the centre of this beautiful continent. A sound that cannot be described in mere words, take a listen and absorb a snapshot of the Central Australian music scene.
These recordings have been captured in varying locations and with various tools. A few of these tracks were recorded with just two microphones pointed at the band whilst they played in their remote community, some were recorded on modern equipment in the CAAMA studios at Alice Springs and the rest are somewhere in between. These recordings have a unique reverb which can only be captured by recording artists in hot tin sheds around the central desert of Australia.
