Dora Smith, all the way from Broome on the west coast of Australia, recently spent 2 weeks recording her debut EP in the CAAMA Music studios. While she was here some students from Yirara College interviewed her for their school program Yirara TV.
Dora first visited CAAMA Music earlier this year after she was the WA winner of the nationwide Alukura songwriting competition for indigenous female singer songwriters. She was flown to Alice Springs, where she was mentored by the Stiff Gins and recorded her first single in the CAAMA Music studios. That was her first time in a recording studio, but since then she’s come a long way and will be releasing her debut EP through CAAMA Music next year!
