2020 is a huge year for CAAMA Music, now in its 40th year!

To commemorate 40 years of era-defining Aboriginal media and music, over the coming months we will be doing a series of posts “from the studio archives”… and of course we will have lots of exciting events to support and plenty of fresh new music to share with the world.

New Music…

To get started, we are very pleased to announce that CAAMA Music’s first album in 2020 will be by the very special Stuart Nuggett.

Stuart recently released an EP as part of CAAMA Music’s Therrka project, and we are thrilled to have him back in the studio recording a full length album.

These shots were taken in the CAAMA Music studios during vocal tracking for “Rising Wind” and “Stay”. Stuart Nuggett says:

“Rising Wind” is a song about history and explores the struggles of country and self… “Stay” is a love song – fixing relationships and the dealing with the struggles of love!”

…both are sounding great and we look forward sharing these gems with you very soon!

The team behind this recording are Warren H Williams (Artist Mentor & Supporting Musician), Jeremy Conlan (Producer), Laurie May (Label Manager), Damien Birch (Studio Technician).
