The Association of Artist Managers has announced that CAAMA Music’s Communications & Artist Manager, Nicola Pitt, has been chosen as one of six music managers chosen to be mentored as part of their 2015 Artist Manager Mentor Program, supported by APRA AMCOS and BIGSOUND.
The AAM Mentor Program is focused on developing and supporting sustainable artist management careers for the long-term future of Australian managers. Mentees will receive 6-12 months one-on-one mentoring with a matched manager, as well as being flown to Bigsound to attend the conference, and participate in an exclusive management roundtable, with key Australian and international managers and industry reps.
Nicola will be mentored by Greg Carey from Umbrella, who currently manages acts such as Cloud Control, Cub Sport, Elizabeth Rose and Jane Tyrrell. All artists on the CAAMA Music roster stand to benefit from this exchange, such as Tjintu Desert Band, Jacinta Price, Karnage n Darknis, Catherine Satour, Desert Mulga, Stanley Gawurra Gaykamangu and lots more.
